Key Accountabilities
- Recruitment and Screening Coordinator is a business-critical role that contributes to the recruitment and enrolment of volunteers and patients for clinical research studies conducted at the London Early Phase Clinical Unit (EPCU).
- Provide administrative support for the screening team, including preparing study supporting documentation for each screening session.
- Maintain a secure database of highly confidential information to ensure the rights and privacy of trial subjects, complying with data protection laws.
- Responsible for subject verification.
- Ensure database records are current, including TOPS entries and medical data entry.
- Send GP reports and follow up on outstanding reports to ensure all data is collected for participant eligibility checks.
- Communicate with internal teams (e.g., laboratory) to ensure results are filed and available for eligibility checks.
- Arrange appointments with participants for repeat testing as indicated by physicians or management.
- Ensure the required number of volunteers are processed according to protocol requirements in preparation for eligibility checks.
- Prepare metrics reflecting recruitment and screening activities and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain tracking and enrolment logs.
- Communicate with volunteers and patients to resolve queries and keep them updated on progress.
- Liaise with Line Manager regarding potential efficiencies and improvements.
- Maintain a positive, results-oriented work environment, fostering teamwork and open communication.
- Assist in conducting studies across all therapeutic areas in accordance with ICH GCP, local regulations, and SOPs.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the line manager.
Knowledge/Skills & Education
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent; additional qualifications are advantageous.
- Experience in a clinical or scientific environment is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and professional customer service skills.
- Good time management, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to work in a matrix environment and value teamwork.
- Flexible attitude towards work assignments and learning.
- Computer literate.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by line manager.
