Join to apply for the Recruitment and HR Generalist role at The Cadogan Clinic

The Cadogan Clinic is an award-winning, family-owned private hospital in the heart of Chelsea specialising in plastic surgery and dermatology. Our purpose-built medical facility includes three operating theatres and two minor operations rooms and a dedicated dermatology and skin cancer clinic.

It’s our employees that make our business special. With strong family values, we believe the Cadogan Clinic creates a professional and fun environment where everyone supports each other to achieve our business goals.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a proactive and people-focused Recruitment and HR Generalist to join our team, supporting both our clinic and head office functions with a combined headcount of 75 employees across two closely located sites. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will take a lead role in attracting, assessing, and onboarding individuals who not only have the right skills but, more importantly, demonstrate the right behaviours and values to thrive in our culture.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong recruitment experience and a passion for spotting potential beyond the CV — someone who believes that attitude, motivation and emotional intelligence are just as critical to team success as technical capability.

Alongside recruitment, your second key responsibility will be to support line managers with employee relations, helping them confidently and consistently manage their teams in line with our values, policies and employment law. You will also be involved in broader HR generalist duties and will manage HR administration through our integrated Personio ATS and HR system.

What might a typical day include?

  • Leading end-to-end recruitment activity, including advert writing, proactive sourcing, screening, interviewing and supporting managers in values-based hiring decisions.
  • Working with the ATS to improve the quality, efficiency and overall effectiveness of the on-boarding process, monitoring response rates to adverts and assessing the calibre of applicants.
  • Collaborating with hiring managers to define what a ‘great hire’ looks like – focusing on mindset, cultural fit, and growth potential.
  • Supporting line managers with employee relations issues, including informal conversations, investigations, disciplinary, performance and grievance matters – ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant processes.
  • Driving and delivering a warm, engaging onboarding experience that sets new hires up for success.
  • Delivering induction and coaching sessions to embed our values and expectations from day one.
  • Supporting line managers with regular performance reviews, including probation, 1:1s and appraisals, and ensuring records are well maintained.
  • Monitoring and analysing absence, holiday, and engagement data to support proactive people decisions.
  • Managing and improving the employee experience through initiatives such as staff surveys, communications, team meetings and wellbeing projects..
  • Keeping policies and procedures up to date and aligned with employment law and our commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Location: Sloane Street, Chelsea and office off the King’s Road.

Monday-Friday with Friday working from home.

Salary £35k
