We are looking for a motivated and well-organised Recruitment Advisor to join our team, supporting a high-volume caseload of recruitment activity across our health board.

This Band 3 role is ideal for someone with strong administrative experience who enjoys working within a process-driven environment and is passionate about providing excellent service to both internal teams and job applicants.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering day-to-day recruitment and selection administration for a defined portfolio of vacancies. This includes processing permanent, temporary, fixed term, bank, locum, honorary, and volunteer appointments.

You will provide support and guidance to hiring managers throughout the recruitment journey, ensuring that all activity complies with NHS Scotland and NHSGGC standards, employment legislation and data protection requirements.

Key Duties:

  • Manage a personal caseload of recruitment activity via the NHS Scotland national ATS (Jobtrain)
  • Create vacancies, monitor applications, and assist with interview arrangements
  • Carry out pre-employment checks including references, PVG/Disclosure Scotland, occupational health and professional registration verification
  • Issue conditional and unconditional offers and prepare contracts using standard templates
  • Liaise with hiring managers to ensure timelines and recruitment procedures are followed
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely data entry across recruitment and HR systems (e.g. Jobtrain, eESS)
  • Respond to recruitment-related queries from applicants and managers in line with service performance standards
  • Support recruitment events (e.g. job fairs, open days) as required
  • Ensure all recruitment documentation is stored and handled in line with GDPR and NHSGGC policies

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines in a busy, process-driven environment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience of handling confidential information and working in line with data protection regulations
  • Previous experience in recruitment or HR administration is highly desirable
  • Experience using recruitment or HR systems (e.g. Jobtrain, eESS) is an advantage

Additional Information
