Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is offering an Apprenticeship in Recruitment Administration. No prior recruitment experience required, with training and mentoring provided within a busy NHS environment.

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Recruitment Administrator to join our Recruitment Team.

This is a great opportunity to develop valuable administration, customer service and digital skills whilst gaining practical experience in a busy NHS recruitment environment. You will receive ongoing support, training and mentoring throughout your apprenticeship programme, helping you build the knowledge and confidence needed for a successful career.

No previous recruitment experience is required. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and excellent customer service skills.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Provide administrative support across the recruitment service.
  • Respond to enquiries via telephone, email and Microsoft Teams.
  • Support candidates, managers and colleagues throughout the recruitment process.
  • Maintain accurate records using recruitment systems and databases.
  • Assist with filing, document management and digital record keeping.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Support team inbox management and help ensure enquiries are dealt with efficiently.
  • Develop your understanding of NHS recruitment and workforce processes.
  • Contribute ideas to improve administrative processes and digital ways of working.
What We’re Looking For
