Qualifications

  • National Governing Body Awards in outdoor activities and current First Aid qualification required.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in youth or community development or adventure activities.

Job description

Salary: £21,000 - £23,625 pa depending on qualifications and experience.

Full time, permanent Instructors based at Barnett’s Demesne Belfast, but flexible to travel and work across NI when required.

Our Need:

Instructor - Full time, permanent, based at Barnett’s Demesne Belfast, but flexible to travel and work across NI when required.

Our Offer:

Salary £21,000 - £23,625 pa depending on qualifications and experience.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. National Governing Body Awards in at least two relevant outdoor activity disciplines (paddling, climbing, mountain biking, mountain leadership) and a current (L3) First Aid qualification.
  2. PCV license for driving a minibus with trailer (D1+E) or a commitment to obtain within 6 months from appointment.
  3. Relevant third level education or a minimum of 2 years proven experience working within a youth or community development or an adventure activities’ or sports delivery environment alongside a demonstrable passion for delivering qualitative and measurable outdoor adventure learning outcomes.
  4. Qualification and experience in training and delivering the expedition module for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
