The Resourcing function is focused on the delivery of top talent, at all levels, for today and for the future for M&G Plc. The strategy focuses on people, process and technology to gain efficiencies and increase productivity with the outcome of better results for the business, function and candidates.

The team is forward looking, able to understand the changing market and stay ahead of hiring trends. It consists of skilled recruiters with deep business and technical knowledge who can tap into diverse candidate pools and attract top talent into the organisation.

To be successful in this role you will be a seasoned in-house / onsite recruiter, used to managing roles of varying seniority and complexity, with a strong focus on direct sourcing. You will have extensive experience managing the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle and be innovative in how you source candidates directly. You will be passionate about providing exceptional hiring manager and candidate experience in all of your interactions.

The Recruiter will manage hiring activity into our Asset Management business with a focus on the Investment teams.

Key responsibilities for this role:

  • Build a true Recruitment partnership with the Investment teams leadership.
  • Becoming the recruitment subject matter expert for the Investments teams on all recruitment matters. Not only live roles but also market moves and intelligence.
  • Identify and source exceptional diverse talent for open roles within the organisation.
  • Build talent pipelines needed for business growth, succession planning and replacement hires.
  • Conduct in-depth consultation meetings with hiring managers to appropriately align candidate sourcing activities with the role requirements.
  • Partner with, consult and advise hiring managers throughout the entire resourcing lifecycle.
  • Provide counsel on all matters resourcing related to HR, Hiring Managers and the wider Resourcing team.
  • Create unique ways to source candidates directly including the more traditional avenues such as LinkedIn, job boards, internal and external networks with the objective of significantly reducing third party agency spend.
  • Ensure candidates receive a highly positive experience through the entire recruitment process.
  • Use MI and data to provide insight to Hiring Managers on recruitment activity.
  • Maximise our full range of technology to ensure the very best hiring outcomes.
  • Attend functional meetings with Hiring Managers and Business Heads to discuss recruitment activity and represent the Resourcing function.
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners and Reward function ensuring they are consulted when required.
  • Participate in project workstreams to help drive and deliver the future resourcing functions objectives.
  • Actively manage relationships with preferred suppliers and ensure supplier selection meets criteria around diversity and candidate experience.
  • Support and champion the assessment and interviewing process.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in operational risk.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working within an in-house and ideally agency/RPO capacity, with a specific focus on direct hiring across financial services.
  • Previous experience of hiring into Investment team, ideally Public and Private Markets experience.
  • Previous experience of running executive searches, the selection of and partnering with executive search firms.
  • Previous experience of working with complex offers, including additional compensation schemes, LTIP, Carry schemes etc.
  • Previous experience managing an end-to-end recruitment lifecycle.
  • Demonstrable experience of senior stakeholder management.
  • Excellent direct sourcing capabilities.
  • Experience of recruiting a range of roles at varying seniority levels.
  • Experience recruiting internationally is an advantage but not essential.
  • Understanding of hiring practices in a regulated environment.
  • Understanding of the wider HR responsibilities.
  • Experience of Workday or similar ATS.
