Job description

Job Overview

The Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and placing Locum Doctors/Nursing/ Carer/AHP, into NHS and private sector roles across the UK. This position requires a highly organised, compliance-aware, and relationship-driven recruiter who can build strong pipelines of qualified doctors, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver rapid placements under NHS framework and healthcare standards.

You will work closely with credentialing and compliance teams to ensure every placement meets clinical, legal, and operational standards — contributing directly to patient care outcomes and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for the placements (locum and permanent), including sourcing, screening, credentialing, and placement.
Develop and maintain a strong candidate pipeline of qualified doctors/nursing/ carer/AHP, through LinkedIn, medical job boards, direct outreach, and referrals.
Liaise with NHS Trusts, private hospitals, and healthcare agencies to identify urgent staffing requirements.
Conduct in-depth candidate assessments including CV evaluation, availability checks, and right-to-work verification.
Oversee and coordinate all compliance documentation including GMC registration, revalidation status, references, DBS checks, and clinical appraisals.
Schedule interviews and liaise between candidates and clients to ensure smooth placements.
Maintain accurate records using ATS systems and ensure updates are GDPR compliant.
Provide ongoing candidate support including onboarding, induction, and post-placement feedback.
Build long-term relationships with both doctors and clients to encourage repeat placements and referral networks.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in healthcare recruitment, with a focus on Doctors/Nursing/ Carer/AHP placements.
Strong understanding of NHS framework agreements, GMC guidelines, and UK compliance standards for doctors.
Familiarity with using recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, CV-Library, and healthcare-specific ATS platforms.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and build trust with senior medical professionals.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills; able to manage both permanent and locum recruitment pipelines.
Knowledge of credentialing requirements including Right to Work, GMC registration, revalidation, indemnity, DBS, and clinical references.
High attention to detail and the ability to work under time-sensitive conditions.
Degree in Business, Human Resources, Healthcare Management, or a related field required.
