Town of Groton is seeking a van driver for the Thrive 55+ program. The role involves transporting seniors to and from activities with a focus on safety and customer service. A valid license and ability to lift up to 20 pounds (and up to 100 pounds occasionally) are required. Work is part-time with a varied schedule.
Starting pay ranges from $20.50/hour for PSL to $23.75/hour for CDL with P/F endorsements. Eligibility for prorated benefits is noted. Equal opportunity employer.

STARTING RATE PSL: $20.50 / hour
POSITION RANGE PSL: $20.50- $22.25 / hour
STARTING RATE CDL: $22.00 / hour
POSITION RANGE CDL: $22.00- $23.75 / hour
This position will be responsible for transport of Seniors, to and from Thrive 55+, for a variety of activities. Experience in public transportation with good driving and safety record. Must be willing and available to work a varied and flexible work schedule. Knowledge of local area and an ability to work with a range of groups, including 55+, and people of all abilities, is desired. Individual must remain compliant and abide by current state and federal licensure requirements. Must have customer service skills and be able to lift up to 20 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, as well as bend, squat, push, pull, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
This position requires a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License, either a CDL Class B with P endorsement is required or Class D with F endorsement required, an A endorsement is preferred.
