Job summary

Forestry England is seeking a Recreation Ranger - Facilities to help run a busy Forest Centre at Moors Valley. You will plan and supervise work programmes for contractors and staff to maintain safety and deliver high-quality visitor experiences.

The role involves ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, supervising the Craftsperson team, handling visitor inquiries, and partnering with Dorset Council to enhance park services and experiences.

• Experience in facilities management and visitor services.
• Ability to supervise contractors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support the Recreation Manager in the day to day running of a busy Forest Centre.
• Plan, deliver, and supervise work programmes for contractors and staff to ensure compliance, safety and high standards of visitor experience across the busy site.
• Ensure seamless day-to-day visitor operations and maintain a welcoming and safe environment for our customers.
• Supervise the Craftsperson team and coordinate maintenance and forest management work with on-site colleagues.
• Collaborate with Dorset Council to support park operations and visitor services.
