Forestry England is recruiting a Recreation Ranger – Facilities Management at Moors Valley in Dorset. You will support the Recreation Manager in day-to-day operations of a busy Forest Centre, plan and supervise work programmes, and help ensure a welcoming, safe visitor experience.

The role includes supervising the Craftsperson team, working with Dorset Council, and contributing to safety, efficiencies and potential income opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support the Recreation Manager in day-to-day running of a busy Forest Centre.
• Plan, deliver, and supervise work programmes for contractors and staff to ensure compliance, safety and high standards of visitor experience across the site.
• Supervise the Craftsperson team and coordinate maintenance and forest management work with on-site colleagues and Dorset Council.
• Contribute to overall safety of the visitor experience, drive efficiencies and income opportunities.
