Job Description

Job Purpose: To provide efficient lifeguard services in line with professional and organizational standards. To assist in sport and leisure activities, ensuring safety, satisfaction, and quality service.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer First Aid when necessary and report incidents following procedures.
  • Perform duties per current health and safety and operational guidelines.
  • Conduct cleaning and equipment setup in accordance with standards.
  • Supervise children’s activities, ensuring child protection policies are followed.
  • Support equality, diversity, and safety policies.
  • Perform any other duties reasonably assigned.

Progression to A2:

  • Supervise pool activities, identify hazards, and respond appropriately.
  • Maintain National Pool Lifeguard qualification through training.
  • Undertake additional duties consistent with the role.

Qualifications: Must hold and maintain a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

Essential requirements:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Good general fitness
  • Experience in lifeguarding and customer service
  • Knowledge of child protection and welfare issues

Desirable requirements:

  • Additional health and safety certifications
