Job Description
Purpose

Provide effective lifeguard services in line with professional and council standards, supporting sport and leisure activities while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Administer First Aid and report incidents
  • Perform cleaning duties as per schedules
  • Set up and dismantle equipment safely
  • Supervise children’s activities and ensure child protection policies are followed
  • Promote equality and safety standards
  • Undertake other duties as required
Qualifications & Requirements
  • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (must be maintained)
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Good physical fitness
  • Knowledge of child protection and welfare
  • Experience in lifeguarding and customer service
Desirable
  • Additional certifications (First Aid, ASA/UKCC Level 2, etc.)
  • Experience in leisure centre operations
