Job description

Post: Recreation Assistant (Cafe) (Fixed Term - 12 months) (Two roles available)

Job Ref: L1390

Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour (K:A Leisure provides workers with a minimum hourly rate of £12.60 under the Living Wage Initiative. Terms and Conditions apply)

Hours: 30 hours per week

Location: Vikingar! - Largs

Role Summary: To undertake a variety of tasks including cleaning designated areas and assisting in providing a quality catering service. Responsible for preparing the cafe for customers before and during opening hours and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

To undertake any other duties as instructed by management, in addition to specific responsibilities below.

Role Specific Tasks:

  • Opening and closing the cafe
  • Preparing and serving food and beverages within Food Safety and Nutrition guidelines
  • General catering and cleaning duties

Regulated Work with Children/Protected Adults

Work involving regulated activities with children or protected adults requires applicants to be eligible. Candidates may need to join the PVG scheme, undergo an update, or complete a Police Check Scotland before employment is confirmed. Candidates will bear the cost, deducted from salary after starting employment.
