Serco Limited is recruiting for Lifeguards at the Basingstoke Leisure Trust. The role focuses on pool safety, customer care, and maintaining a welcoming environment for visitors of all ages. The team operates across our centre with training and development opportunities.

This permanent positions offers shift patterns including Fridays evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, with benefits and access to leisure facilities. National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is required.

Location: Basingstoke Aquadrome, RG22 6PG

Contract: Permanent

Working hours: Various hours including Fri, 5pm - 8pm, Sat, 10am - 4pm and sun 10am - 4pm.

Salary: up to £13.27 per hour

What you'll need to do the role

You’ll need to have excellentcustomer serviceskills as you’ll be interacting heavily with our customers. So, whether you’ve earned that experience in aleisureor another customer facing environment, you’ll be a people person who is happy dealing with people of all ages and backgrounds.

You will be providingcustomer careto people of all ages, supervising activities, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the pool area, and ensuring the safe handling and set up of pool equipment. And of course, when needed - you’ll help to save lives.

As a lifeguard you’ll naturally need to be safety conscious, vigilant, and able to deal with pressurised situations. Lastly, you’ll need to have strongswimmingskillsand it's essential that you hold aNational Pool Lifeguard Qualification(Royal Life Saving Society).
