Recovery Worker - Women's Floating Support (Housing)

This role involves working specifically with women who have housing and recovery needs. As a Floating Support Recovery Worker in Croydon, you will support clients in structured treatment who are entering or are on a path to entering a housing crisis.

You will actively engage with women and the services they need to improve health, wellbeing, and social inclusion, providing practical, emotional, and social support to prevent homelessness and maintain tenancies.

This position is ideal for someone with experience in a similar field who wants to make a difference by providing Floating Support services for women across Croydon.

Hours and Salary
  • Full Time: 37.5 hours/week
  • Salary: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 (dependent on experience, pro rata for part-time)
  • Allowance: £2,195.72 Outer London Weighting (full-time basis, pro rata for part-time)

Note: Full-time hours are 37.5 hours/week. Salaries and payments for part-time roles are pro-rated based on contracted hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish effective communication and referral pathways for women at risk of homelessness, liaising with health and care agencies.
  • Provide wrap-around support in emergency, temporary, and supported accommodations across Croydon.
  • Prioritize caseloads based on crisis severity and intervention needs.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, supporting links to health, social care, peer networks, and community assets.
  • Collaborate with local authorities, health and social care sectors, partners, and other agencies to prevent homelessness and improve joint working.
Candidate Requirements
  • Understanding of the effects of drug and alcohol use on health, social welfare, housing, employment, and relationships.
  • Minimum 12 months experience in tenancy sustainment and community engagement.
  • Experience engaging with diverse individuals with varying needs and backgrounds.
  • Flexibility and ability to manage challenging behaviors.
