Overview

Recovery Worker - Safeguarding in Wandsworth. Join our team to provide high-quality recovery care to a diverse client group, with a special interest in child safeguarding and trauma-informed, psychosocial interventions.

Main duties of the job

Support individuals and families affected by substance misuse, ensuring children's safety is central to recovery planning. Work closely with multi-agency partners to uphold safeguarding standards as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.

Collaborate with lead provider and partners (South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, St Mungo’s, and CDARS) to provide free and confidential support to adults in Wandsworth experiencing challenges with drugs and alcohol. The service is based in Battersea and is near Clapham Junction.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £28,570 - £35,762.50 per annum (inclusive of Inner London Weighting £4,000 per year).

Qualifications and experience:

  • Experience in health, social care or related setting is desirable
  • Experience delivering services in a community setting
  • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Resilience under pressure and ability to prioritise work
  • Flexibility to support other With You locations when needed
  • Ideally experience with people who misuse substances; lived experience is welcomed
