Recovery Worker

Location: Manchester

Salary: £24,570 per annum

Additional Pay: Sleep-in shifts paid at £78.30

Employment Type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours/week)

About the Service: Tameside Supported Housing Service offers tailored support to help individuals manage accommodation, reintegrate into the community, and progress towards independent living. Our scheme accommodates men and women in 12 individual rooms with shared facilities, plus four self-contained flats. Managed by Waythrough with Regenda as the landlord.

Your Role: You will support and inspire service users to maintain their tenancies and independence, helping them develop skills in domestic management, finances, and accessing opportunities. You will work with individuals to create personal support plans aligned with their goals.

Requirements: No prior experience necessary; full training provided. Candidates with understanding of mental health issues or lived experience are encouraged to apply. Essential qualities include compassion, empathy, enthusiasm, and the ability to work independently and in a team. Flexibility to work on a rota and be available for on-call duties is required.
