Job description

Phoenix Futures is looking to recruit passionate and solution-focused Recovery Workers at HMP Pentonville.
Full-time and Part-time Permanent Vacancies Available.
FTE £27,722.65 per annum (Inclusive of Inner London Weighting for Full-time). Any part-time salaries will be calculated pro-rata from this figure.

The Role

As a Recovery Worker, you will provide harm reduction to individuals with substance misuse issues and support their recovery through relapse prevention and care planning. You will also act as an advocate for these service users, signposting and referring them to necessary agencies to support their holistic recovery.

Other organizations may refer to this role as Recovery Worker, Recovery Coordinator, Criminal Justice Worker, or Substance Misuse Recovery Worker.

About You

As a Recovery Worker, you will have knowledge of recovery, care planning, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external agencies.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Self-motivated
  • Capable of working on their own initiative and as part of a team
  • Possesses good communication and organizational skills
  • Dynamic and forward-thinking
  • Experienced in working with vulnerable adults presenting with substance, alcohol, and related issues

This role may require occasional late shifts and weekends on a rota basis (8 am - 8 pm, Monday to Sunday).
