Job summary

Gordon Moody in Redditch is seeking a Recovery Worker to support residents through rehabilitation. The role involves one-to-one care, coordinating care plans, assisting with GP registrations, benefits, and appointments, and facilitating recovery-focused sessions.

You will work 35 hours per week on varied shifts between 8am and 8pm, with some weekends. The charity offers training, development, and opportunities to grow within a national organisation.

Qualifications

  • Essential: NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care / Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care.
  • Strong communication and care coordination skills.
  • Ability to work with vulnerable people in a supportive way.
  • IT skills and confident with record keeping.
  • Flexible approach to shift work (some evenings/weekends).
  • Experience working with addiction (e.g. gambling, drugs, alcohol).
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and risk management.
  • Group facilitation or therapeutic support skills.

Responsibilities

Recovery Worker Redditch Reporting to: Treatment Centre Manager Location: Redditch B97 Salary: £26,967.00-£31,597.00 per year Hours: 35 hours per week with varied shifts between the hours of 8am and 8pm. Will involve some weekend work.
