A leading organization in mental health support seeks a Recovery Worker for its 24-hour supported housing service in Barnet. The role involves supporting individuals to maintain their independence and achieve their recovery goals. Candidates should possess a caring nature and be willing to work both independently and as part of a team. Full training will be provided, and the organization values diversity in its hiring process.
Location: Barnet, EN5 2TH
Salary: A£27,320 inclusive per annum (plus 1 contracted sleep-in a week at A£78.30)
Hours: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

Our 24-hour supported housing service in Barnet is seeking someone like you to support individuals in maintaining their tenancy and independence. We prioritize putting service users at the heart of everything we do and involve them in decisions affecting their future. Your role will involve inspiring and supporting them to lead their own recovery, developing personal support plans, enhancing domestic and finance management skills, and facilitating access to work, leisure, or educational opportunities. Accurate case note entry and liaising with external agencies such as GP surgeries, the local council, and charities are also key responsibilities.
Recovery looks different for everyone, but with the right support, recovery is achievable. You will work with individuals to help them achieve their goals and aspirations. No relevant experience is required as full training will be provided; however, understanding of mental health issues or lived experience is welcomed. Your caring and compassionate nature, empathy, and enthusiasm are most important. You should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, willing to participate in a weekly rota system, and available for on-call duties.
