Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 4 Recovery Support Worker within the Inclusion Substance Misuse Team at HMP Gartree. You will deliver evidence-based interventions in group and 1:1 settings, carrying a caseload and coordinating recovery plans in a custodial environment.

You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide psycho-social interventions, support harm reduction, report writing and ensure integrated working across services to achieve recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Organise programme of groupwork within the establishment and facilitate group work interventions as directed by Line Manager.
  • Accept referrals, assess need and prioritise groupwork attendees.
  • Provide harm Reduction advice and information on safer drug use, safer sex and blood-borne infections.
  • Maintain an appropriate caseload with key worker responsibility.
  • Carry out comprehensive assessments as required by line manager.
  • Co-produce and construct care packages with multi-disciplinary colleagues and review care plans.
  • Lead and support Recovery Champions and mentors with training and supervision.
  • Work with safeguarding and mental health needs in collaboration with professionals.

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has opened up within the Inclusion Substance Misuse Team at HMP Gartree. As a band 4 Recovery Support Worker you will be delivering evidence based interventions in a group and 1:1 setting with our service users. You will carry a case load and manage that effectively.

Main duties of the job

You will be joining a well established, hard working team who will support you in your new role. Your day to day job will be to support the men in your care through their recovery plan. This will be through the delivery of group work session and 1:1 interventions. You will support the Under the Influence Pathway and report writing and updating case notes will be an important part of your role. You will provide a range of low, medium and high intensity interventions as part of the substance misuse team to those service users experiencing substance misuse problems. Working within a multi-disciplinary team, in a custodial environment, you will be delivering a high standard drug and alcohol recovery service in response to the needs of the service users as part of Inclusion and Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation trust and supporting with the Recovery Champions and mentors. You will provide a range of psycho-social interventions motivating and supporting service users to achieve recovery and positive outcomes within a recovery-orientated substance misuse treatment service. Collaborating with clinical prescribing services, you will ensure the needs of each service user is met and that integrated working is a key element to Inclusion's prison services.
