Job description

Overview

Making the decision to enter treatment can be an intimidating experience for the people we support. You can make a difference.

As a Recovery Support Volunteer with Change Grow Live, you’ll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.

With this role, you’ll be working as part of a team, based in Reading. The team supports people with their or their loved ones’ drug and/or alcohol issues.

Responsibilities

No two days are the same, and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious, and a good listener are key.

We will support you in this volunteering role by ensuring that you receive regular supervision and have someone on site who you can approach for day-to-day advice and guidance. In return for the time you give, you will receive valuable training and gain experience and skills. You’ll be making a real difference too.

This is what one of our Volunteer Recovery Coordinators had to say: “I like the team spirit, that we all bring something different and we always put the people who use our service first.”

Our values are to be compassionate, open, and bold. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you, so click apply.
