Job description

Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people from getting the support they need to live a life they value. We address poverty and disadvantage in communities through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing, and related support services.

We operate nearly 200 services across England with almost 3,500 staff and volunteers supporting around 125,000 people annually.

As we integrate our systems and processes post-merger, some branding may still reflect 'Humankind'.

Recovery Coordinator - Full-time, Permanent

Location: 590 Seven Sisters Road, London, N15 6HR

About the role

The Haringey Recovery Service (HRS) supports residents at all stages of their substance misuse recovery journey. Our goal is to enable individuals to find local support and build a supportive community to help them live fulfilling lives. We work with those who have completed or are receiving treatment for drug and alcohol issues, focusing on the whole person rather than just substances.

You will run peer support groups and work one-on-one with service users to enhance their recovery capital and achieve personal recovery goals. We believe everyone is an expert in themselves and aim to foster self-efficacy and long-term recovery.

We seek a positive, motivated individual capable of working with a diverse and complex client group. Prior substance misuse knowledge is not essential; transferable skills are encouraged.

The role involves some evening and weekend work, with shifts typically on Mondays or Tuesdays from 12-8 pm, and a future Saturday shift.
