A community health organization in Swindon seeks a Recovery Navigator to support individuals with moderate to severe mental health needs. You will help clients achieve personal recovery goals and connect them to community support. This role requires significant experience in mental health services and an understanding of trauma-informed care. The position aims to promote recovery and inclusion through personalized support plans.
As part of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Partnership in Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW), Second Step delivers community mental health support in collaboration with Alabar, Missing Link and Nilaari. Together, were transforming mental health services by focusing on trauma-informed, person-centred, and culturally inclusive approaches.The Recovery Navigator role offers either a traditional or peer-based approach, where individuals with lived experience of mental health can provide powerful, hope-inspiring support as part of their role.
As a Recovery Navigator, youll work closely with individuals with moderate to severe mental health needs, helping them set and achieve personal recovery goals and connect to meaningful support within their community. Youll collaborate with health professionals, VCSE partners, and other support networks to provide a seamless experience.

Conduct support conversations using tools like DIALOG+ to create tailored, strengths-based support plans.Deliver person-centred, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed interventions.Use your own lived experience (if applicable) to provide hope and connection.Support individuals with navigation around housing, employment, relationships, and mental wellbeing.Maintain accurate and timely casework, risk assessments, and outcome monitoring.Promote recovery, inclusion, and equity in everything you do.
