Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Ltd is recruiting a compassionate Recovery Coordinator in Nottingham to join a community recovery service, handling a caseload and delivering person-centered support.

You will work with service users, families, healthcare professionals and partner agencies to reduce substance-related harm and help individuals achieve positive, sustainable changes in their lives. This temporary full-time role focuses on recovery-focused care.

Qualifications

• Experience in substance misuse or related support services.
• Strong recovery-focused practice and harm reduction understanding.
• Experience completing assessments, support plans and risk assessments.
• Ability to manage an allocated caseload effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for trusting relationships.
• Experience in multidisciplinary or multi-agency environments.
• Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
• Ability to work with diverse and underrepresented communities.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage priorities.
• Compassionate, empathetic and non-judgemental approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated caseload and act as the main Care Coordinator for service users.
• Complete screening, assessments and personalised recovery plans.
• Use motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive change.
• Coordinate tailored packages of care and support.
• Deliver 1:1 key work, POD and group sessions.
• Complete risk assessments and implement risk management plans.
• Triage service users and make onward referrals as needed.
• Work with prescribing clinicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Promote harm reduction, overdose prevention and safer drug use.
• Provide BBV health education and Naloxone distribution.
• Complete screening, including urine and saliva testing and DBST.
• Connect service users with mutual aid and recovery communities.
• Maintain accurate, confidential case records.
• Contribute to duty cover and reception responsibilities.
