Waythrough is seeking a passionate and organized Recovery Coordinator for their North Tyneside team. About The Role

North Tyneside Recovery Partnership is a multidisciplinary team providing support to those living within the North Tyneside area where drug and/or alcohol use is becoming a problem. The service is provided by Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust and in partnership with Waythrough from 1st April 2025.

The Recovery Coordinator will manage a caseload of adults accessing support to overcome substance use, you will use a variety of evidence based interventions and will demonstrate compassion and kindness towards all service users. The role is fast paced and busy, the successful candidate will be organised and able to prioritise according to risk, they will also have appropriate professional boundaries in place. Its important to be passionate about what we deliver and to be aspirational for the service users we support, so it helps to have a keen interest in supporting people and to believe that recovery is achievable, a background in supporting those with alcohol and/or drug addictions is preferred although a full package of training is available with Waythrough.

The successful candidate will be based at our main base in Wallsend however we offer outreach across North Tyneside so you must be willing to travel, for this reason a driving licence would be preferable but not essential as the area is service by public transport network.
