Job summary

New Vision Bradford, a collaboration under Waythrough, delivers an adult substance misuse service for the Bradford District. This Recovery Coordinator role supports life skills development and rebuilding lives within a safe environment, enabling active community contribution.

You will work with a multi-agency team to implement recovery plans, engage with service users, and promote pathways to self-sustained recovery, while upholding values of dignity and respect.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with people with alcohol and/or drug problems and/or people with complex needs.
  • A driving licence is essential for transporting clients to appointments.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards) in post.
  • Understanding of and ability to implement MI, PSIs, CBT and ITEP.
  • Delivering 1-2-1 and group therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an adult caseload of substance use issues.
  • Devising, implementing, and reviewing recovery and treatment plans.
  • Facilitate and promote progression from initial engagement through structured treatment to self-sustained recovery.
  • Reduce substance-related harm to individuals and the wider community.
  • Work collaboratively with partners to achieve health and well-being outcomes.
  • Scripting.
  • Support the evening clinics.

Recovery Coordinator - New Vision Bradford

Location: 11 Temple Street, Keighley, BD21 2AD (no parking on site)

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: 6 month fixed term until March 2027 (there is potential of an extension but cannot be guaranteed)

Salary: £25,877.80 - £34,240 per annum

About the role and service

New Vision Bradford is a partnership between Waythrough, the Bridge Project, Project 6 and Creative Strength. Under this umbrella, the partnership delivers an adult substance misuse service for the Bradford District. We provide a safe environment for people to develop life skills and confidence, ultimately enabling them to rebuild their lives and become active, contributing members of the Bradford community.

What You'll Do
  • Manage an adult caseload of a variety of substance use issues, opiate/non opiate and alcohol
  • Devising, implementing, and reviewing ongoing recovery and treatment plans.
  • Facilitate and promote individuals' progression from initial engagement, through structured treatment, to self-sustained recovery.
  • Reduce substance-related harm to individuals and the wider community.
  • Working collaboratively with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and well-being outcomes for individuals.
  • Scripting.
  • Support the evening clinics.
To Succeed in This Role, You'll Need:
  • Experience of working with people with alcohol and/or drug problems and/or people with complex and multiple needs.
  • A driving licence is essential for this role, due to the requirement to transport people accessing the service, to appointments. Vehicle not essential as can be provided.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or above or equivalent) or willing to work towards this in post.
  • Understanding of and ability to implement interventions including brief interventions MI, PSIs, CBT and ITEP.
  • Delivering 1-2-1 and group therapeutic interventions.
