Change Grow Live is seeking an Outreach Recovery Champion in Reading to support people in taking first steps toward recovery and building healthier, safer lives. The role involves working flexibly across sites, including evenings and weekends, with a 37.5 hour week on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
You will deliver one-to-one interventions, recovery coaching and group support, while engaging rough sleepers or those at risk of homelessness to move toward settled accommodation.
Recovery is powerful.
Not because it changes what happened in the past, but because it creates possibilities for what comes next.
At Change Grow Live, we know that some of the most inspiring recovery journeys are led by people who have walked the path themselves. People who understand the challenges, recognise the barriers and can show others that change is possible.
We're looking for an Outreach Recovery Champion to join our Reading service, helping people take their first steps towards recovery and supporting them to build lives that are healthier, safer and more fulfilling.
The post-holder will work with service users initiating, building, and utilising recovery capital to move into long term sustained recovery. This will be achieved by working with service users, supporting, and delivering pods or one to one intervention as required.
The post-holder will be required to work flexibly across all sites within an agreed number of hours to maintain the most appropriate level of service provision. This will include evening and weekend working.
Location: ReadingContract: 6 Month Fixed Term ContractHours: 37.5 per week

Everything we do starts with people.
Guided by our values of Be Open, Be Compassionate and Be Bold, we work together to create services that are built on evidence, rooted in communities and focused on helping people achieve lasting change.
You’ll join a team that values lived experience, invests in development and genuinely believes in the power of recovery.
