Job description

Owen Reed is looking to recruit an experienced Records Manager for a top law firm in London.

Responsibilities of Records Manager include:

  1. Managing the records function daily, escalating issues to the Facilities Manager as appropriate.
  2. Archiving, retrieving, and returning deeds and wills as required.
  3. Retrieving and returning files as needed.
  4. Handling archiving queries promptly and accurately via email and Teams.
  5. Providing clear instructions to our archiving storage company to ensure collections and deliveries are prompt and complete.
  6. Conducting inductions for new joiners on our records service and procedures.
  7. Providing monthly workload and activity reports, with recommendations for additional resources if necessary.
  8. Assisting the Head of Business Services with annual reviews of archiving and destruction policies, updating processes as needed.
  9. Supporting ongoing electronic and hard copy destruction projects.
