An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen within our Records Management service for a Records Management Assistant.
In this new position, you’ll be joining a small, friendly team and supporting the smooth running of the service by undertaking a variety of administrative tasks. Working collaboratively with the Assistant Records Manager you’ll be helping to provide a high quality and efficient records management service to teams across Herefordshire Council, including assisting with retrieval of paper records from storage, preparing files for scanning and helping with audits. You’ll also be supporting the work of the wider Information Governance team including helping with timely access to files and preparation of files for information requests.
If you’re interested in developing a career in records management this role would be a great starting point. Prior experience of working in administration would stand you in good stead but is not essential. We are looking for someone with good communication skills, an understanding of handling confidential information, and the ability to work to deadlines and plan your own workload and prioritise tasks accordingly.
