Job Description:

Sourcing Manager - EMEA

About the Job

We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially astute Senior Sourcing Manager to lead the sourcing and procurement of pre-owned products across the UK and EMEA. This is a pivotal role that combines strategic oversight with tactical execution to drive optimal supply chain outcomes and fulfill commercial objectives. The successful candidate will play a critical part in ensuring product availability, price competitiveness, and supply chain efficiency, working across regions and engaging with multiple stakeholders.

What your role as a Sourcing Manager (EMEA) will involve:

  1. Take full ownership of device sourcing across the UK and EMEA, developing and implementing strategic sourcing plans to ensure devices are available when and where needed at optimal prices.
  2. Establish robust supplier relationships with global partners, setting up legally and commercially sound agreements, including return rights for non-compliant devices and staged delivery terms.
  3. Negotiate competitive buy-in pricing, leveraging market intelligence and strong negotiation skills to secure the lowest possible input price per device grade.
  4. Establish a two-way sourcing relationship across regions, mitigating supply chain challenges in both the US and EMEA markets.
  5. Collaborate with technical and operational leadership teams to align supplier capabilities with company requirements, ensuring product compliance and quality standards.
  6. Develop and maintain a transparent buy-in plan, presenting accurate and timely reports to senior stakeholders, including open requirements, fill rates, supplier performance, open POs, and price benchmarking.
  7. Analyze financial implications and potential risks associated with sourcing alternatives, ensuring informed decision-making.
  8. Provide detailed regional reports to assess product viability and strategic sourcing opportunities.
  9. Proactively manage supply-side challenges, maintaining a risk management strategy to mitigate potential disruptions.
  10. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant health and safety regulations.

To set you up for success, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Experience sourcing used mobile devices on a global scale, with deep knowledge of industry-specific standards (FMI, Knox, Reg Coding, Bands, Grades).
  • Proven people management experience across time zones and functions.
  • Background in strategic sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management within tech or telecom sectors.
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills, including the ability to secure competitive pricing and agreements.
  • High-level analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret complex data for strategic outcomes.
  • Commercially savvy, with advanced financial awareness and cost control expertise.
  • Confident communicator and presenter, capable of influencing senior leadership and building supplier rapport.
