Temporary Christmas and New Year Vet Receptionist £17ph plus £250 completion bonus

Vets Now are the UK's leading provider of emergency pet care, providing a trusted veterinary service within our out-of-hours clinics. Our Receptionists are the first point of contact when a client calls or arrives at a clinic. Over Christmas and New Year our emergency clinics are particularly busy requiring additional support for emergency cases. This is a great opportunity to earn an additional income for four shifts over the Christmas period.

Rota pattern

  • Monday 22nd December 2025 Induction shift from 19:00 to 23:00
  • Option 1 Shift: 08:00 to 16:00
  • Thursday 25th December 2025
  • Friday 26th December 2025
  • Thursday 1st January 2026
  • Option 2 Shift: 15:00 to 23:00
  • Thursday 25th December 2025
  • Friday 26th December 2025
  • Thursday 1st January 2026

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Answering calls
  • Arranging emergency consultations
  • Tracking admissions and discharges
  • You will be responsible for communicating clearly with our nursing team and clients keeping everybody updated and informed.

You Will Be

  • Resilient, caring and empathetic particularly when working with clients who may be distressed or anxious
  • Detail orientated with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Articulate with the ability to prioritise and multitask
  • Passionate about animal care with the drive to work in a busy emergency vet clinic over the Christmas and New Year period
