Overview

Temp Cover - 24th Sept 2025 until 23rd January 2026

We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team and support with the smooth running of the home’s engagement of resident enquiries and visitors to the Care Home. You will also offer support with the activities being delivered within the home and ensure all visitors to the home are welcomed, provide refreshments, ensure telephone calls are handled in a timely manner and provide support to the management team.

Required:

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels using all mediums

  • The ability to work autonomously and deliver on time
  • Good Computer Knowledge
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • An appreciation of the need for confidentiality GDPR

  • Be friendly, confident, well-presented and customer-focused
  • Satisfactory DBS check

Desired:

  • Previous experience of care sector administration procedures
Main Responsibilities
Engagement - general
  • Manage the phone lines and reception in a professional manner
  • Support residents and relatives with any queries or concerns
  • Be the point of contact for customer facing events and customer liaison
  • Be a visible presence for visitors and residents at reception daily
  • Manage the appointments system on the Computer Management System and back up diary
  • Liaise with Unit Managers on each floor about activities during the day
  • Ensure the reception areas are kept well stocked with literature
  • Deal with postal deliveries and ensure the lobby is kept free of clutter at all times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
