An educational institution in Greater Manchester is looking for a part-time Receptionist to manage the College Sports Department. Key responsibilities include administration support, managing health and safety assessments, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organisational skills, along with proficiency in IT. This position offers a pro-rata salary based on a fixed term contract.
We are looking to appoint a Receptionist to work in the College Sports Department to be a welcoming and efficient first point of contact for students and users of the Sports Centre facilities. Duties will include supporting the teaching staff from the Sport, Performing and Visual Arts Curriculum Area with general administration, liaising with external organisations, organising educational trips, visits and sports fixtures, alongside providing effective reception services and day-to-day support for students and staff.
The post-holder will also be a first aider (training provided) and will conduct health and safety risk assessments. This post will also include the cover of other reception areas over lunchtime periods.
Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential for this customer service-based role, and a desire to maintain our high standards. You will need to be proactive and flexible in your approach as you will be required to deal with multiple and varied situations in a timely and effective manner. Excellent IT skills are required.

Part Time (30 hours per week), 39 weeks per year, 12.00pm - 18.00pm Monday - Friday. To commence ASAP. Fixed Term until 18th August 2026 in the first instance, but may be made permanent.
Salary: Pro-rata of Points Pro rata of Points 6-9 of the Sixth Form College's Support Staff pay spine, currently £25,558 - £26,818 per annum. (Actual salary £18271.41 - £19172.19)
