Soho House is hiring a Receptionist to deliver exceptional front-of-house service and coordinate Club operations. You will be the first contact for members and guests, setting a welcoming tone with discretion and elegance.

The role emphasizes guest-focused service, knowledge of facilities, and a professional, friendly approach to daily tasks. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in front desk roles within luxury hospitality or private clubs, strong communication, and familiarity with reservation

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in a front desk role.
• Experience in luxury hospitality or private members clubs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficient in reservation systems (Opera, OpenTable or equivalent).
• Calm under pressure with a guest-first mindset.
• Ability to lead and coordinate a small team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every member by name (if local) and guests warmly.
• Answer high-volume phone lines for reservations and inquiries.
• Be knowledgeable on menus, hours and amenity pricing.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary reception area and coat check.
• Perform Guest List duties on the floor or Rooftop.
• Support and resolve guest concerns in real time.
• Assist with coats and items guests leave behind.
• Build relationships and relay feedback to management.
• Promote a fun, professional atmosphere and Soho standards.

Key duties…

• Ensure every member is welcomed by name (if local) and guest is welcomed with open arms and in a hospitable manner.
• Answer high-volume phone lines and calls for restaurant, roof and cinema reservations, general inquiries, and deliveries, messages for members and from employees; among other inquiries.
• Well-versed on standard Q&A regarding menus, hours of operation and amenity availability/pricing.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work environment, reception area, desk and coat check closet.
• Perform Guest List duties on the floor level, club and/or Rooftop (if applicable).
• Support, redirect and problem solve in real-time to ensure any guest related concerns are addressed and action items have been set.
• Assist guests by checking/ retrieving their coats and/or items they left.
• Build relationships with members and guests and communicate and red flags and positive feedback to management.
• Influence a fun and positive atmosphere by being approachable and professional.
• Assist management with new hires by training Soho Standards and steps of service expected daily.
• Maintain updated knowledge of all facilities, offerings, events, and policies to inform guests confidently.

What We Are Looking For...

• 2–3 years’ experience in a front desk role
• Experience in luxury hospitality or private members clubs
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Proficient in reservation systems (e.g., Opera, Open Table, or equivalent)
• Calm under pressure and adept at resolving issues with a guest-first mindset.
