Our three Isle of Skye hotels are recruiting a Receptionist and Reception Supervisor to join their team in Portree. This is a permanent contract, and you will be working full time during the season and a minimum of 16 hours a week out of season, 5 days a week, Monday through Sunday.

This is a guest-facing position; as a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for guests at the hotel, making it crucial to create a great impression. The receptionist should be professional, polite, knowledgeable, self-motivated, and helpful, always ready to assist customers with a positive attitude, ensuring guest satisfaction. Multi-tasking and functioning under pressure are part of the daily routine.

We seek candidates who are passionate about guest service, possess problem-solving skills, and take pride in their work. Prior experience with Stayntouch and Lightspeed systems is preferred but not required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The first point of contact for our guests.
• Greet our guests with warmth and care.
• Check guests in and out of our hotels.
• Know the hotel's facilities and the area.
• Familiarize with the team, for better communication between departments and to know who to go to in case of need.
• Be completely knowledgeable of all reception procedures, such as check-in, check-out, bookings, general inquiries, cash handling, and processing payments, etc.
• Answer the phone promptly.
• Learn about guest relation management and use it in your daily routine.
