Receptionist - London

Job Location: London

Job Type: Permanent

Remuneration: Competitive salary taking into account skills, experience and qualifications

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Receptionist at our stylish London office in the heart of The City.

A rare opportunity has arisen in our London office for a full-time, experienced receptionist to support our client-focused teams. This dual-role position combines front-of-house duties with administrative support across departments.

As the first point of contact, you must demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and a commitment to excellent service. You'll work closely with another receptionist, adapting to fluctuating workloads-busy one day, quieter the next, with more admin tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage reception tasks, prioritising and delegating as needed for smooth office operations.
  • Welcome and direct visitors, booking them via Vicinitee.
  • Assist with broadband/network issues, report faults, and follow up on resolutions.
  • Maintain the Health & Safety Manual and record actions.
  • Oversee meeting rooms: bookings, refreshments, catering, and equipment.
  • Submit invoices for catering, milk, and supplies.
  • Handle all post and courier deliveries, including scanning.
  • Manage stationery stock, monitoring usage and costs.
  • Answer calls via Genesys, directing appropriately.
  • Support desk bookings and profile creation in Engage.
  • Promote and implement safety procedures for all staff and visitors.

This is perfect for someone who thrives in a structured, people-facing role and enjoys balancing routine with variety.

The skills you will have when you apply:

  • Previous Experience: Must have worked on reception before, handling more than one task at a time.
  • Presentation & Organisation: Smart, tidy, and always puts the customer first.
  • Communication: Answers questions clearly and politely, even when under pressure.
  • Teamwork & Initiative: Works well with others and can think for yourself when needed.
  • Telephone & Switchboard: Speaks well on the phone; switchboard use is a plus (training available).

The skills that will be developed once working:
  • Comprehensive Training: You'll receive all the Sedgwick-specific training needed to excel in your role.

What we'll give you for this role:

Remuneration & more
  • Competitive salary taking into account skills, experience and qualifications
  • A Self Invested Personal Pension Scheme (SIPP)
  • Holiday allowance of 25 days plus bank holidays
  • Flexible working from our office or your home

Health & support
  • Private healthcare plan (including pre-existing conditions)
  • Life assurance
  • Employee assistance programme for employee wellbeing
  • Group Income Protection

Other benefits
  • Voluntary benefits - green car scheme, dental cover, cycle to work scheme, season ticket loan, wellbeing and digital GP applications
  • Discounts on various products and services
