Receptionist (Endoscopy)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-organised Receptionist to join our busy Endoscopy Department. You will be responsible for providing an effective service within the Endoscopy team, dealing directly with patients in the Department and over the phone.

Main duties
  • Provide front-of-house and telephone reception to patients and staff in the Endoscopy Department.
  • Work with the Endoscopy Booking Team and Nursing Staff to manage patient queries and ensure processes for patient appointments follow policy.
  • Meet and greet patients, assist with booking/ rescheduling appointments as needed, and perform data input tasks.

Role details

The Endoscopy unit sits within the Medical Division and currently provides 2 Endoscopy rooms with 22 sessions over 6 days, including sessions run by Respiratory Medicine, Urology and Bowel Screening lists. It provides both inpatient and outpatient services for Endoscopic procedures, including:

  • Diagnostic/therapeutic Gastroscopy
  • Diagnostic/therapeutic Colonoscopy
  • Diagnostic/therapeutic Urology

The successful candidate must have excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to multitask, and work well in a team. Responsibilities include maintaining patient records, prioritising workload, and ensuring patient appointments adhere to policy.
