We are looking to recruit a professional and reliable individual to provide an efficient and effective Reception service to patients and visitors attending the Emergency Department. The post holder will be proficient in dealing with confidentiality issues and able to provide excellent customer care, ensuring patient details are accurately recorded and relevant documentation is created to support safe patient care. This position is key in creating a positive first impression of the Trust / Department.
The Emergency Department handles approximately [number] attendances per year. It benefits from a new innovative IT system. This role would suit someone with excellent interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and a desire for a challenge.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and experience in dealing with the general public and distressed individuals. A flexible approach to work, experience in busy environments, and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.
