Job Description:

Applications are invited for experienced reception staff to work within the Emergency Department, Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. The post holder will work between the reception desk and the clinical ward as required.

It is essential that the candidate has previous clerical/reception experience along with experience of working with the general public in a customer service environment. Good organisational, keyboard and communication skills are essential. Previous NHS experience is advantageous but not essential. The post will require the successful candidates to undertake a range of administrative duties including the use of specialist systems, dealing with patients and relatives enquiries, and updating of the department’s information system.

There are 2 posts available, and they are worked on a 6-week rolling rota. The hours worked are between 8am to 5pm and 2pm to 9pm and 6-12pm.

The days of work vary across 7 days per week. Post 1 is 23.5 hours per week and post 2 is 21.5 hours per week.
