An exciting opportunity exists for a Receptionist / Driver to join the Urgent Care Service in Oxfordshire, providing crucial support for out-of-hours GP and Minor Injuries services. The Urgent Care Service provides cover for GP Out of Hours and Minor Injuries a across Oxfordshire .
This role is offered on a part time basis with a minimum of 22.5 hours per week up to full time 37.5 hours per week. Evenings/weekends/bank holidays work is required.
Shifts will be across the 6 bases of the service (Abingdon, Bicester, Banbury, Oxford, Witney, Henley) taking into consideration distance. Main shifts currently available are overnights in Banbury and Oxford (23:00-08:00) but several weekend and evening shifts are available around the county.
The cover needed is between 18:15 and 08:00 every day and 18:15 on Friday to 08:00 on Monday (or day after BH) with shifts of 5 hours, extendable up to 13 hours. Overnight period starts at 23:00 and terminates at 8:00. There might be some extra offer for shifts during the day in the MIUs to cover for holidays and sickness of relevant receptionist and extra shifts available via NHSP.
The role is dual, both reception and driving skills are required.
Day and evening shifts are both a receptionist and a driver, while during the night the successful candidate will be required to cover both roles (reception, administrative duties and driving the GP/Clinician in case of a Home Visit).

The First Contact and Primary Care Pathway is a countywide service including GP Out-of-Hours (OoHs), Minor Injuries Units (MIUs) and First Aid Units (FAUs). Our services are based in Abingdon, Banbury, Bicester, Henley, Oxford, and Witney.
You will be supported with Induction and training. There will be opportunities for progression within the service. You will be encouraged to be part of quality improvement and suggest options to enhance the service.

Please note this post requires working unsocial hours (evenings and/or nights), weekends and bank holidays. Use of own car might also be required as the service covers all Oxfordshire. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Enhanced hourly rates will be paid according to NHS rates and there is a possibility of extra shifts via the NHSP platform.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
