Overview

Could you be the Receptionist Assistant we are looking for? Are you a hardworking, enthusiastic professional who enjoys working with children and loves working in a team where every day brings a new challenge?

Newlands Primary School is seeking to recruit two part-time Receptionist Assistants. These are two separate positions, but we would also consider appointing one person to cover both roles.

Roles and hours
  • Morning role: 8:00am – 10:00/10:30am, Monday to Friday (term time only) Finish time negotiable
  • Afternoon role: 2:00/2:30pm - 4:30pm, Wednesday to Friday (term time only) Start time negotiable

Salary and hours

Salary (Grade 4, SCP5, FTE £24,790)

  • Morning role (10–12.5 hrs per week): Actual salary £5,746 – £7,183
  • Afternoon role (6–7.5 hrs per week): Actual salary £3,448 – £4,309

These are two separate positions, but if one person were appointed to cover both roles, the salaries would be combined.

  • Experience of working in an office or reception role is desirable but full training will be given.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Flexibility, adaptability and a good sense of humour are important when working in a primary school environment.
