Overview

The main emphasis of this role is to provide a comprehensive and courteous clerical and meet and greet service to patients and their families, working with the multidisciplinary team within Child Health.

Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a well performing Foundation Trust serving a population of around 441,000 across the Bolsover, Derbyshire Dales, North Amber Valley, High Peak and North East Derbyshire districts, with a workforce of around 5,000. The Trust is committed to delivering high quality services and excellent patient care in partnership with Health and Social Care to ensure long term financial sustainability and resilience.

All applicants must be 18 years old or over.

We are currently looking to appoint a Receptionist to work in the Den (including the Den Reception, Children's Hearing Services Reception and, when/if required, Nightingale ward and Neonatal Unit Receptions) within the Family Care Division.

This role will involve work on weekends and bank holidays. The successful candidate must be customer focused, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential, with great attention to detail to ensure data is recorded accurately onto patient administration systems.

To be successful in this role you will possess IT skills, GCSE Maths and English grade A-C (or equivalent) and have relevant office/secretarial experience. You must also be adaptable to meet the service needs. Knowledge of medical terminology, customer care and previous NHS experience are desirable.
