Qualifications

Receptionist and Business Centre Support

Part time - £15 per hour

East Croydon

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and efficient receptionist who is ready to move into a role with additional business centre support responsibilities. The office is ideally located, with coffee shops, Box Park, and East Croydon station just a short walk away.

You will relish a challenge and be highly organised, managing access procedures, contractors, and couriers, whilst supporting the business centre manager to build a vibrant community in the serviced offices. You should be well presented with proven experience and confident to take ownership of this busy and varied role.

Salary - £25,740 (33 hours pw) £15ph

Hours - This is a part-time role, working on the following days:

  • Monday – 8.30am – 5.30pm
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday – 9.30am – 5.30pm
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a front of house reception service, with additional responsibilities, including managing access procedures, contractors, couriers, and building operations.
  • Build strong relationships with tenants, agents, and contractors to maintain an immaculate space and resolve issues swiftly.
  • Enhance tenant experience through local knowledge, communication, and additional services like discounts and amenities.
  • Organise promotional events to support local businesses and community engagement.
  • Assist in marketing strategies, tenant onboarding, and community activities.
  • Provide operational and administrative support, including mail handling, booking meeting rooms, and financial operations assistance.
  • Arrange contractor quotes, monitor expiry dates of certificates, and keep updated spreadsheets.
  • Maintain the aesthetic standards and ensure health and safety compliance.
  • Support in attracting new tenants, managing inquiries, viewings, and networking events.
  • Prepare a local amenities file, become an expert on local knowledge.
  • Create and communicate via an e-newsletter with tenants.
  • Research and introduce social engagement services as appropriate.
  • Organise or assist in promotional events supporting local businesses.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
  • Proven experience in a premium front-of-house role with a customer-focused approach.
  • Immaculate presentation and engaging personality.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time-management, administration skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, proficient in PC/Microsoft packages and Apple Mac.
  • Flexible, proactive, team-oriented, with a can-do attitude.
  • Knowledge in building/facilities management is advantageous.
