Job Description:

It's more than a job

When you work in Freight Logistics and Operations at Kuehne+Nagel, you play a key role in optimising processes and ensuring that inventory and shipments move efficiently. Your work also helps ensure that vital medicines reach patients on time and supports other essential deliveries, from wind turbines to semiconductors. Our contribution counts in more ways than we imagine.

We're looking for a dedicated team member who thrives in a fast-paced office environment and brings a strong sense of organisation, initiative, and warmth to every interaction. If you enjoy juggling varied tasks, creating smooth processes, and making guests feel at home, this role is for you.

How you create impact

  • Provide a professional and welcoming front desk experience, handling visitor management, calls, and reception area upkeep
  • Support daily office operations including meeting scheduling, catering arrangements, and document management
  • Oversee site repairs, vendor coordination, and supply procurement to ensure smooth office functionality
  • Assist in planning internal events, workshops, and team gatherings with logistical precision
  • Conduct safety checks, support evacuation drills, and maintain compliance documentation for audits
  • Manage staff and visitor pass systems, monitor security procedures, and maintain accurate logs
  • Contribute to environmental reporting and promote site-wide sustainability efforts
  • Maintain thorough records of operations, safety, and compliance for easy access and audit readiness

What we would like you to bring

  • Previous experience in reception, front desk, or administrative support roles
  • Familiarity with office maintenance, vendor coordination, and supply management
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with staff, guests, and vendors
  • Excellent organisational abilities and multitasking skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office management systems
  • Understanding of health & safety compliance, sustainability practices, and facility protocols
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement within operational settings

What's in it for you

If you would like to become a valued member of our team, we will make sure that you’re rewarded for your commitment and expertise. You can join the contributory Kuehne+Nagel pension plan and enjoy our Route 2 Rewards scheme, which offers discounts, benefits, recognition, and a wellbeing centre. We care for our colleagues (and their immediate family) with our employee assistance programme providing access to 24/7 GP, legal, and financial advice along with mental health counselling. All of this to help you live a happier and healthier life. We are a forces-friendly employer who recognises the skills, expertise, and value service leavers bring to our organisation.
