As our Receptionist/Administrator, you will provide efficient and effective customer service and clerical support for the New Milton Area Adult Learning and Skills programme.
Responsibilities as our Receptionist/Administrator will include:
Deal with telephone, personal and postal enquiries effectively, including direct action or appropriate referrals, replying to requests for course information, both by post and over the counterProvide high quality customer service to assist students staff and visitors, whether by telephone or in personEnsure that the Reception and office areas are well stocked with information and kept up to date and tidy.Provide clerical support for the Centre, including special projects, liaising with and assisting staff, tutors, students, volunteers, outside organisations etc…Assist with the preparation of notices, posters etc. and the setting up of displaysAssist with the maintenance of students, staff and financial records, including collection and preparation of data for statistical purposesAssist with the ordering of stationery, refreshment supplies, materials and other equipment, ensuring that adequate stocks are heldUndertake general office duties, to include filing, distribution of incoming and preparation of outgoing mailCarry out enrolment procedures, including cashier dutiesAssist with the Centre inventory of equipment and associated records where equipment is taken off siteAssist with the processing of contracts, registers and quality assurance documentsAssist with the processing, checking and recording of staff salary and travel claimsAttend and assist at training events and staff meetings, as requiredAny other such duties, commensurate with the grade of post, which may be reasonably allocatedAs our Receptionist/Administrator , you’ll ideally have:
GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)A minimum of two years experience in an office environment, dealing with the general publicExperience of assisting with a range of different people with diverse needsCompetent computer skills – able to use Word, Excel, Presentation, Outlook and the Internet for information retrievalAble to demonstrate customer care skillsTelephone and Reception skillsConfident about dealing with challenging people and situations in an appropriate wayDemonstrate the ability to ‘think on your feet’ and show initiativeExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skillsOrganisational abilityAble to work under pressure and prioritise appropriatelyAble to demonstrate accuracy in their workAble to work without supervisionThe ability to work well as part of a teamThe ability to build a rapport with customers of all kindsBenefits you will receive:
