Receptionist/Administrator (Highworth Surgery - 35 hours per week)

Westrop MedicalPractice are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual to fulfil a rolewithin our expanding busy reception team at Highworth Surgery. This role involves daily face to face and telephone contact with patients,arranging of appointments and follow up of patient related tasks. The practiceaims to develop the role by offering further training to the right candidate tofulfil a role in supporting and navigating patients to the most appropriatecare for their needs.

This position would especially suit an applicant with previousexperience in a primary care setting with an interest in maintaining excellentpatient relationships. Candidates must have excellent communication skills andcomputer literacy skills are essential.

Main duties of the job

Duties will include all aspects of reception work in abusy GP surgery. Face to face at the front desk, dealing with a high volume ofphone calls and back office admin. A caring, friendly and diplomaticdisposition is a must.

RECEPTIONIST/ADMINISTRATOR HIGHWORTH SURGERY

We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic person who has workedwith the public and has good computer skills to join our friendly Practiceteam.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Operations Manager

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

An understanding, acceptanceand adherence to the need for strict confidentiality.

An ability to use ownjudgement, resourcefulness, common sense. A proactive approach to change.

Be able to work additional andflexible hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Booking and updatingappointments

Dealing with incoming callsfrom patients, doctors and hospital departments.

Liaising with patients,doctors and hospital departments.

Administrative support to thePractice as appropriate.

The successful candidate should preferably have:

Good working knowledge ofMicrosoft Office packages

High attention to detail

Good interpersonal skills

Flexible approach

Team player with ability towork without direct supervision

Relevant qualification would be beneficial however not essential.
