RECEPTIONIST/ADMINISTRATOR Hermitage/Moredon Surgery

Westrop Medical Practice is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual to join our expanding busy reception team at Hermitage Surgery. This role involves daily face-to-face and telephone contact with patients, arranging appointments, and following up on patient-related tasks. The practice aims to develop this role further by offering additional training to the right candidate to support and guide patients to the most appropriate care for their needs.

This position would especially suit an applicant interested in maintaining excellent patient relationships. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and computer literacy is essential.

Main duties of the job

Responsibilities include all aspects of reception work in a busy GP surgery, such as face-to-face interactions at the front desk, managing a high volume of phone calls, and back-office administration. A caring, friendly, and diplomatic disposition is essential.

Job responsibilities

Location: Hermitage/Moredon

Hours: 30 hours per week

We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with experience working with the public and good computer skills to join our friendly practice team.

Responsible to: Reception Manager

Flexibility to work additional and flexible hours.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Booking and updating appointments.

Dealing with incoming calls from patients, doctors, and hospital departments.

Liaising with patients, doctors, and hospital departments.

Providing administrative support to the practice as needed.

Candidate requirements

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

High attention to detail.

Good interpersonal skills.

Flexible approach.

Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

Previous reception/customer service experience.

Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential.
