Job description

Job summary: We are a busy 11,000 patient GP practice in Northamptonshire looking for an Receptionist/Administrator for over 20-30 hours per week to join our friendly team.

Opening hours 8.00am - 6.30pm Monday to Friday. We would be looking for someone who can provide flexible cover during opening times.

Main duties of the job

The role will be split between administration duties and carrying out reception tasks including:

  • Assisting the reception/admin team with front desk cover answering telephone
  • Scanning and Clinical coding and document management
  • Registrations of new patients
  • Responding to emails
  • Processing repeat prescription requests
  • Ad hoc administrative tasks

Job responsibilities

General Practice experience and knowledge of Systm1 clinical system is preferred but all candidates meeting the essential criteria above will be considered.

  • Good IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft word with a willingness to learn other software packages.
