School Receptionist / Administrator - Long-Term Opportunity (up to 1 year), Pay Rate- £14-15per hour

Location: East London

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)

Start Date: Early September

Contract Type: Ongoing agency placement (term-time, with some holiday cover)

Are you a calm, organised, and confident front-of-house professional with experience in school administration or reception?

We are working with a well-regarded secondary school in East London that is looking to appoint a Receptionist/Administrator for the full academic year, starting in September. This is a key front-of-house role where you'll be the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming students, parents, visitors, and staff in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answering calls and handling enquiries
  • Supporting with day-to-day administrative tasks
  • Maintaining accurate records and managing data systems
  • Liaising with different departments to support school operations

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a school or educational environment (Reception/Admin)
  • Strong communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone
  • Able to stay calm and professional under pressure
  • Comfortable multitasking in a busy school office
  • Experience using SIMS, Arbor, or similar school data systems (preferred but not essential)

Additional Details

  • Trial day likely to take place on Wednesday 3rd September
  • Long-term agency role for the entire academic year (with the possibility of some holiday cover)
  • Paid via agency on a competitive day rate
